Diversity Makes Us Stronger

The tech industry has a diversity problem. Women are underrepresented – in development teams, in leadership positions, at conferences. At Deep Impact, we are actively working to change that.

Three Women, Three Perspectives

Sarah – Lead Developer

"When I started five years ago, I was often the only woman in the room. That has changed. Not radically, but noticeably. What helped me? A team that judged me by my skills, not my gender."

Today, Sarah leads a team of six developers. Her advice to young women: "Don't let anyone talk you down. You belong here."

Maria – UX Designer

"Design is often perceived as a 'soft' discipline – and thus connoted as feminine. But good design requires just as much analytical thinking as development. We need to break down these stereotypes."

Maria designs user experiences for our largest clients. Her approach: combining empathy and data.

Lisa – Project Manager

"I had role models who showed me: You can build a career in this industry and still be yourself. I want to pass that on."

Lisa coordinates complex projects and leads cross-functional teams. Her advice: "Build networks. Support each other."

What We Do

Recruiting

We pay attention to diverse candidate pools and unconscious biases in the hiring process.

Culture

An inclusive culture doesn't just happen. We actively work on it – through training, open discussions, and clear policies.

Development

Mentoring programs, conference visits, further education – we invest in the development of all employees.

Flexibility

Flexible working hours and locations help everyone – but especially those who provide care.

The Road Ahead Is Still Long

We are not perfect. The proportion of women in technical roles is below 30%. But we are working on it, step by step.

Conclusion

Diversity is not an end in itself – it makes us better. Different perspectives lead to better solutions. At Deep Impact, we want to create an environment where everyone can unleash their potential. Because impact is created by people – all people.
