Women with Impact: Gestalterinnen der digitalen Zukunft

English edition — originally published in German as Women with Impact: Gestalterinnen der digitalen Zukunft.

For International Women's Day 2021, we asked inspiring women from our network about their influence in digital transformation. Their answers highlight the strength and inspiration that women bring to the world of digitalization.

Jamilla Allaoui, Marketing Manager at AMAG, shares a powerful message:

"You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending."

These words underscore the importance of proactive action and the ability to change course, regardless of the starting position.

Viola Werner, founder of the Young Investors Organization, emphasizes the importance of authenticity and vulnerability, inspired by Brené Brown's TED Talk and her book "Dare To Lead." Integrating all aspects of the self, including so-called weaknesses, is crucial for true leadership.

Regula Spühler, COO of HeyPatient, recommends "Humankind: A Hopeful History" by Rutger Bregman, a book that emphasizes the fundamental goodness of people and their ability to stick together in times of crisis.

Manuela Hug, our COO, shares her enthusiasm for entrepreneur Alan Frei's motto, which she heard during a Deep Impact "Unconference":

"Either you have money or you have courage."

This statement prompts reflection and addresses the choice between financial security and the courage to take new, unknown paths.

These women illustrate that leadership in digitalization not only requires technical expertise but also courage, authenticity, and a belief in goodness. Their stories are a living example of how women are shaping and driving digital transformation.
