Bernadette Hug has recently joined the Frutico team and is leading sales. Whether as a chef, truffle hunter, or managing director at Sempione: food and the food industry are her passion.

Why is she now committed to digitalization: for the Frutico operating system and the online shop?

The food industry is on the verge of a major transformation. New business models are emerging. Digitalization will trigger an innovation boost. I want to lead the way, propose a modern system, and thereby show companies how this will have a positive impact.

Many fruit and vegetable traders already use a digital operating system or ERP today. What does Bernadette think is next?

I know several ERPs from experience. Some of them are quite complex. We are changing that with Frutico, bringing both efficiency gains and new momentum to the industry.

Frutico is not just software, but an attitude. We talk to our customers about improved processes, the potential for sales growth, and customer care. Above all, Frutico shares one thing with its customers: enthusiasm for the fruit and vegetable industry.

So, Frutico is primarily intended to improve margins and increase sales? Bernadette talks about various business areas that can benefit from more attention:

My experience tells me that a lean, industry-specific ERP is necessary to once again focus on the essentials amidst the daily hustle and bustle: customer relationships, interaction with customers, and increasing customer satisfaction. I want to contribute to that.
