The result is a community that connects users with each other and with excellent offers from different partners, all driven by Helvetic Care’s core mission: independent living in old age.

The result is a community that connects users with each other and with excellent offers from different partners, all driven by Helvetic Care’s core mission: independent living in old age.
We asked Otto to tell us more about it.

What is the digital innovation implemented by Helvetic Care?

Otto Bitterli: Helvetic Care offers digital access to a comprehensive and very broad range of topics that preoccupies the target group (there’s nothing else like it at the moment). It is consistently orientated towards the users and aims to optimally and specifically network them according to their interests and needs.
In this sense, we are consistently user and data driven – to use digital vocabulary (laughs). And we are convinced we’re creating meaning and added value with Helvetic Care.
The Helvetic Care target group aren’t exactly digital natives. What makes you think the target group will get involved?
Otto Bitterli: It’s a big assumption – and almost offensive – that my generation is considered digitally incompetent. OK, we may not be as good and as fast as the GenZ or Millennials, but we know very well how we can develop good digital offers for ourselves.
What we have found difficult, though, is planning and organising our own retirement and later-life arrangements or those of our relatives because there is a lack of orientation. A digital platform that can map the topics and make them accessible is ideal.
With this in mind, we offer real added value. The initial design sprint feedback was promising.

How are you developing the business and what are your next steps?
In the next phase, we have to prove we are consistently user and data driven. This includes taking steps for more targeted networking of content, shared interests with like-minded community members and relevant offers from the partners and vice versa.
We are now laying the foundations on the way to becoming a data knowledge company. At the moment, we are replanning our company structure, revenue streams and investment sources..

With Spectra, Helvetic Care uses an innovative publication platform. Why did you choose it?
In my opinion, Spectra is the clear number 1 in the Swiss market for digital information and media. It is also very intuitive for creating content.
For Helvetic Care, it is also not insignificant that Spectra guarantees further development because much larger players also use it.
