The question was posed during an architecture review, as the technologies in the frontend in particular were outdated and showed insufficient performance. Especially for a platform like Comparis the performance is of great importance, because a good conversion on the site depends directly on it and Google punishes bad performance when indexing.
A major problem in many companies is that technological legacy is difficult to dispose of for two reasons. Firstly, the cost of new technologies in a complex environment is extremely difficult to master and secondly, the existing team is focused on existing technologies.
To solve this problem, a concept was developed to implement the new frontend architecture in collaboration with Deep Impact and Comparis. In this case, Comparis provided two backend developers, who acquired the new technological know-how within Deep Impact.
